To promote and sell Distell Brand portfolio within Hospitality channel by driving brand awareness and building brands in line with strategic objectives

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:
Strategic & Financial Results
Market share
•  Drive and maintain Power pack compliance
•  Drive and maintain Accessibility, Availability and Activation

Operational Results
Own and Manage endorsement strategy
•  Brand portfolio approach – Predominantly wine focus and Secondary focus on Luxury spirits
•  Drive power pack compliance agreements with customers
•  Implement gourmet evenings, wine tastings
•  Wine list focus
•  Waiter and barmen training

Customer & Relationship Results
Build partnerships with customers
•  Call strike rate
•  A score compliance vs non compliance

Innovation & Improvement Results
Drive continuous improvement and implement business improvement initiatives
•  Share and implement new ideas regarding sales and improving effectiveness of sales force

Leadership Results
Take responsibility for own development and contribute to team effectiveness
•  Displaying the Distell values
•  Take responsibility for personal improvement and skills development

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
•  Valid Matric qualification
•  Diploma or degree in Marketing or Business management
•  2-3 years FMCG experience in a similar role
•  Flexible 44 working hour week
•  Weekend promotions when required
•  Cape Wine Academy certificate is advantageous

Demonstrates proficiency in the following functional competencies:

•  Persuasive selling skills & negotiations – Influence the customer through linking product features and benefits to specific customer needs. Must be able to work alone and have emotional intelligence.
•  Sales Commercial Insights – Awareness and understanding of the implications of fundamental commercial implications on day-to-day decisions
•  Sales process management – Understand the primary key drivers of sales in different channels
•  Sales Product Knowledge – Product relevance by channel, cluster and tier understood and applied. Must have knowledge about wine
  Sales strategies and plans to sustain brand growth – Has an awareness of sales strategic planning process in Distell and understands all the components that impacts sales and brand growth
  Sales Technology Application – Demonstrate an understanding of how technology works within the sales process
•  Admin Skills – Filing, proper diary keeping, asset management, log sheets.
